Hikes worth documenting

List of my favorite day hikes: (unlinked items to be posted someday!)
1) Mount Elbert - Sawatch Range, Colorado
2) Bear Peak - Boulder, Colorado
3) Hallet Peak - Rocky Mtn Nat Park, Colorado
4) Navajo Peak - Indian Peaks, Colorado

Mount Elbert
Went on a hike that had spectacular pictures, Mt. Elbert: 2nd tallest mountain in 49 US States (all but Alaska) topping out at 14,440 ft. Was a fun hike, not too difficult, sleeping at 10,000 feet the night before really helps.

One thing this hike had that was a bit unusual was an impressive 360 degree view that spanned for 50+ miles in every direction. Usually you get half the view blocked by a close 13er. To the east we could see the Mosquito Range 14ers such as Democrat, Sherman. Even farther east we could see Pikes peak at a distance of 80 miles. To the south was about half a dozen of the collegiate 14ers. To the west you could clearly make out the Maroon Bells, Snowmass, Capitol, Conondrum and Pyrimad. To the North was Mt. Massive.
